Very proud to present the culmination of many years of hard work and play, my latest animation reel, and many of my most precious animations featured in God of War: Ragnarok. This time around I added some sweet maya playblasts to make it easier to see exactly what I animated, and I also included a few makings of sequences that show the process from rough block out to raw motion capture stitching/assembly and all the way through to final polish. I love my work, love my family my wife and children who inspire and love me back, and I love my peers and coworkers who excel at what they do and push and challenge me constantly to excel and ‘be better’ at what I do. I would like to give a special thanks to some of the folks who make my work possible. Obviously to my leads Mehdi Yssef and Bruno Velazquez for always delivering constructive and inspiring feedback over the years, to my best friend James Che, “the Master to my Blaster”, for always being on point with excellent GOW level feedback and quick mocap pickups for me. Special thanks to the entire animation team for being the most fun group of devs at Sony Santa Monica Studio. Special thanks to Ruben Morales for giving me those sweet ground cracks and other breakables that work so well to spruce up and sell impacts on my sweet playblasts! And of course, special thanks to Eric Jacobus and SuperAlloy Interactive for their consummate professionalism, great stuntman ship, and for always delivering performances that get me the foundational data I need to deliver amazing combat animation. Obviously the amazing SSM Tech Art Team, Axel Grossman et all thank you so much for these amazing rigs and tools! Finally special shout out to the directors and lead combat designers I have worked with over the years who have helped me make my work shine in game, to Mihir Sheth the ever rational and logical, to Deny Yeh the loquacious and charming don’t ever change. And to my go to designer/implementers like David Bridle with his authoritative British accent and can-do attitude, and to Eytan Weigensberg the speedster it has been a pleasure working with you and getting to know you both! One last special shout out to Nick Eberly and Keven Peterson, we don’t get to work together very often but when we do it results in some of the best stuff in the game, you know what you helped me do!
