Art direction and animation by BÜRO UFHO. Presented by EYEYAH! and The Unusual Network, GIFFEST III is a bi-annual interactive exhibition that celebrates the animated GIF as a communication tool and as entertainment. GIFFEST returned for its 3rd and most spectacular edition at the National Design Centre. Supported by DesignSingapore Council, this special edition of GIFFEST brought together Asia’s largest celebration of GIFs with EYEYAH!’s thought-provoking visual exploration of social topics. With the theme of ’Imperfect,’ GIFFEST III featured over 50 animated works by both local and international artists, exploring imperfection from design & social angles to promote appreciating imperfections & address perfectionism pressures. Taking place from May 18th to August 26th, the groundbreaking multimedia exhibition utilized giant projections and cutting-edge formats to provide an immersive experience. Over 3 months of world-class screenings, talks, and workshops, it attracted a technology-focused audience by showcasing the richness of animated GIFs as a creative medium. source:
