Americans CAN'T Believe What Russia Just Built Now! #usa #technology #economy Let's begin with the introduction of the new trains heading to the growing subway system. These trains are part of a plan to upgrade over 500 metro cars scheduled to start operating in 2024 and 2025. The agreement for these trains was signed between the manufacturer and the Moscow Metro in 2022. These trains have a modern design, both inside and out. Now, let's talk about the current situation of Moscow's metro as we step into 2024. There's something significant happening called the Big Circle Line (BCL, Line 11). It's not just any metro line; it's the world's largest loop line, covering a whopping 70 kilometers and featuring 31 stations. This beats the previous record held by Beijing Subway's Line 10. The construction of this line has been ongoing for ten years, overcoming challenges posed by the city's busy development. The Nizhegorodskaya depot, located in the city center, is now the main hub for the BCL, housing around 40% of the line's trains. If You Like This Video: Like, Share, Comment And Subscribe. Moreover, Moscow has also introduced two new lines in the Moscow Central Diameters – Line D3 and the longest one, D4. These lines are equipped with the latest Russian trains and have opened up 13 new or revamped stations. Line 8A now extends all the way to Vnukovo Airport, marking the first connection between a metro line and an airport in Russia. Additionally, Line 10 has expanded northward, adding three new stations: Yakhromskaya, Lianozovo, and Fiztekh, reaching the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. As we move forward, the metro is introducing 360 modern Moskva-2020 cars, which will operate on Line 6 and the Big Circle Line, enhancing passenger experience with wider gangways, improved climate systems, interactive route planners, and overall comfort. And there's more in store; Deputy Mayor Maksim Liksutov has hinted at plans to upgrade Line 2's fleet next year. In terms of technology, the Moscow metro is making strides. It has partnered with telecom operator MTS to test a B2B 5G network at five Big Circle Line stations and upgraded its ticketing system with the introduction of the new Troika card chip. Additionally, paying with bank cards has become easier, with millions of transactions recorded in 2023. This has streamlined the payment process, with Troika cards now being locally produced, and turnstiles at the metro and Moscow Central Circle accepting bank cards. Furthermore, women have made significant strides in the metro, with female train drivers operating on Line 15, with more undergoing training at the Corporate University of the Transport Complex. These achievements were recognized at the international Stevie Awards for Women in Business in 2021. Moving on to the partnership with MTS, the telecom provider has boosted the metro's tech capabilities with a major upgrade in its mobile network. The internet speed on the MTS network is now 40% faster than last year, with expanded coverage across all metro lines and stations. MTS achieved this by laying down nearly 200 km of radiating cable in the metro tunnels and setting up around 700 new base station blocks. This expansion includes the 14 new metro stations that opened this year. To achieve lightning-fast data transfer rates, MTS implemented Carrier Aggregation, combining all LTE frequency bands. As a result, data speeds have increased significantly, reaching up to 500 Mbps at stations and 250 Mbps in tunnels. With millions of MTS subscribers using mobile internet in the metro daily, the telecom provider is focused on further enhancing connectivity and predicting increased traffic growth in the future. The transformation of the Moscow metro not only enhances the city's transportation network but also has global implications, attracting more tourists and contributing to the Russian economy. Moscow is becoming increasingly connected internationally, making it an attractive place to live, work, and explore, as highlighted by Russia President Putin. Despite the changes over the years, the metro remains a vital part of Muscovites' lives, serving as more than just a mode of transportation but also as a cultural landmark and meeting point for millions of people every day.
