In The Footsteps Of Tolstoi sic Aka Tolstoy (1935)

Titles read: ’IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF TOLSTOI [sic]. Russia. Archive footage of the famous author and philosopher Leo Tolstoy walking in a garden with a woman (his wife?) - he has a long beard and looks very old. Commentator talks of it being just over 25 years since Tolstoy died. Present day footage of the house and grounds at Yasnay Polyana near Toula, where Tolstoy was born and spend most of his life. It is now a memorial. Shots inside the house show all the rooms preserved exactly as Tolstoy left them. We see the desk where he wrote most of his books. Shots of two old men and an old woman - friends and relatives of the writer who look after the house to keep his memory alive. Item ends with another archive shot of Tolstoy in the garden.
