Duane Vermeulen - The Ultimate Tribute

Duane Vermeulen finally hung up his rugby boots. He will be remembered as one of the greatest Springboks of the modern era and one of the greatest number 8's to ever play the game. His tough, uncompromising style of play made him indispensable for the Springboks. He was man of the match in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final and he backed that up with a second Rugby World Cup win in 2023. He was known for his strong carries, his brutal defense and his absolute calmness under pressure. In big matches, you wanted Duane on you side. As a South African, I can only say thank you Duane.
