Made by the National Association of Manufacturers, “Industry on Parade“ was produced between 1950-1960 and aired on TV, where it won a Peabody award. Each episode of “Industry on Parade” looks at the manufacturing of and technology behind different industries. This episode looks at a plant that manufacturers tin cans and also uses its expertise to make parts for aircraft. It then looks at poultry farming mechanization and how new growing methods make larger quantities of chicken. This is followed by how nylon stockings are made and tested for durability.
