Lost and Found, artist talk with Kevin Schmidt and Holly Ward

Artist talk featuring Holly Ward and Kevin Schmidt, contextualizing their public art project “Lost and Found“. Initially unfolded as a series of constructed situations along the Rouge Valley Trail in Unionville during the summer and fall of 2023, the project evolved into an interactive installation at the Varley Art Gallery of Markham in Winter 2024. In this talk, the artists explored the process behind conceptualizing the project, touching on its inception, research, artistic strategies, and manifestations within the broader context of their practice and previous projects.
