Opposing large-scale demonstrations in Vienna, Austria One group comprised the Austrian identitarian movement, whose participants are known for opposing Islamism, multiculturalism, and the melting-pot model. The other composed of the left, whose activists were demonstrating against right-wing extremism. Riots broke out, with masked men disrupting the processions by igniting pyrotechnics and hurling bottles. Hundred of police officers were deployed; three were injured. 43 people were detained.
