The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a warning about an E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald's Quarter Pounder sandwiches. So far, 49 cases have been reported across 10 U.S. states, resulting in 10 hospitalizations and one death. The outbreak has affected people from 13 to 88 years old, with most cases recorded in the western and Midwest regions. According to the CDC, McDonald's has already pulled slivered onions and quarter-pound beef patties from select locations, as they are investigating the ingredients that may have caused the contamination.
