During WWII, Germany produced propaganda newsreels not only for their own people, but also for occupied and neutral countries. These newsreels were called Ufa Foreign Sound Week, and were produced in a variety of languages, like Swedish, Dutch or Portuguese, but also in German, to be shown in Switzerland and amongst German-speaking emigrants. They were also produced in Russian and Ukraine, and this is the Russian version of issue No. 700 from early February 1945. While Germany did no longer occupy any Soviet territory by then, there were still hundreds of thousands of (forced) workers from the Soviet Union working for the Germans, and Russian-speaking volunteers serving in the Wehrmacht. These newsreels were intended for them. This episode shows footage of a speech by General Vlasov in front of Russian workers in a German factory, footage from various Eastern volunteers visiting Propaganda Minister Goebbels, and various scenes that were also shown in the German Newsweek No. 750 from late January 1945,such as from an attack of explosive boats on bridges in the Netherlands, or scenes from the Soviet Vistula-Oder offensive in the East. - Subtitles made by me.
