Migrants clash with police as over 2,000 people cleared from camp near Paris

French police have forcefully moved more than 2,000 people from a makeshift migrant camp near Paris on early Tuesday morning. The incident took place in the northern Paris suburb of Saint-Denis near the Stade de France. According to local media, Paris firefighting crews were deployed as migrants burnt their belongings before leaving. French Interior Minister, Gerald Darmanin, said the people living in the camp were experiencing “deplorable sanitary conditions.” Camp residents were mostly asylum seekers,
