UK's Far-Right Leader Tommy Robinson is under fire for allegedly inciting violence in the country following a mass stabbing attack in Southport that killed 3 children. UK police has blamed supporters of far-right English Defence League (EDL) for violent protests. Robinson was earlier a part of the EDL which protests against what it calls perceived threat from Islamic extremism, but also targets Muslims and migrants more widely. The group often holds counter-demonstrations to protests organised by left-wing activists and has frequently clashed with anti-fascist protesters. Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon, has a string of criminal convictions on charges including assault, fraud and drugs possession. He quit as EDL leader in October 2013, claiming he could no longer keep the group's “extremist elements“ at bay. #tommyrobinson #keirstarmer #uk #worldnews n18oc_world n18oc_crux CRUX is your daily video news guide to the big events that are shaping our world.
