ACLU examines U.S. militarys transgender ban

Though the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy that banned gays and lesbians from serving openly was repealed three years ago, the U.S. doesn’t allow people who are transgender in the military – unlike many of the country’s biggest military allies.
