Geoffrey Buckingham took a low-priced dealer's item, and changed the effect. What was originally marketed as the 1-2-1 Rope had a mediocre effect but an interesting method. Buckingham used the method to create a new effect, and an interesting framework for the presentation. This video is from L&L Publishing. During the explanation (not shown here) Buckingham explains he is not a comedy magician, and that there are others who could make something more out of it than he did.
