A very shocking (for the time) Tango from the Russian film “Child in the Big City“. The music is “Passion Dance“ (La danza appassionata) performed by the Six Brown Brothers (1916). I found this on YouTube with a 1930s Russian Tango as background. While it's a delightful Tango, I think a Tango of the era gives a better sense of the rhythm and phrasing of the time. This is an unsual film in that it shows a somewhat scandalous style of Tango. In most other films from the teens, it tends to be pretty tame. Female dancer: Elena Smirnova Male dancer: Valli
