Wildfires ravage California amid high temperatures

California firefighters dispatched aircraft and helicopters to drop water or retardant on a series of huge wildfires. In Santa Barbara County, the fire has reportedly scorched more than 49 square kilometers of grass, brush, and timber. Firefighters say the blaze has the potential for large growth given the current high temperatures and low humidity.
