Iceland's spectacular new volcanic eruption appears to have dramatically slowed. Yet, at depth, magma has expanded another 1,000 meters towards the direction of Keilir. Thus, while the eruption appears to be declining, there is still the possibility that a new fissure vent could form and reinvigorate the eruption.
