M/S of Sir Hilton and group of dignitaries walking down streets of terraced houses. They stop to look at some houses being demolished - they have been condemned as unfit slums. Natural sound. Sir Young gives speech - he is pleased with campaign to clear slums in Wandsworth, he turns to Wandsworth Borough representative. The representative explains nearly half of the borough's slum areas have been demolished to make way for new housing. Sir Young states that the government intends to rehouse 1,300,000 people. He turns to another dignitary in group, Jeffrey Shakespeare, MP for Norwich.
