There have been some videos about khatra and the iniital arrow velocity. Some of these films are well-made but some of them were unfortunately based on poor knowledge on shooting with thumbdraw Here is a short experiment in which three experienced thumb shooter took part. The shots were executed with two types of main khatras described in old Eastern archery treatises and without khatra, another option that has also been advocated by some authors.
