“Bruceploitation“ refers to a subgenre of martial arts films that emerged in the 1970s and 1980s, primarily in Hong Kong cinema. The term is derived from the name Bruce Lee, the legendary martial artist and actor, who became an international icon after the success of films like “Enter the Dragon“ and “Fists of Fury.“ After Bruce Lee's untimely death in 1973, several filmmakers sought to capitalize on his popularity by creating films that featured actors who resembled Bruce Lee or imitated his fighting style.
