Strela-10 SAM system crews daily eliminate AFU aerial targets Small-range air defence units protect the skies around the clock. The system is capable of destroying enemy aircraft, helicopters, and drones. The crews can fire from the position and on the move. This SAM system interacts with the larger air defence systems. In case radar systems detect enemy objects in the airspace, the vehicles move to the firing position and hit the targets. Air defence units of the Sever Group of Forces control all the air routes of Ukrainian drones. When the enemy’s UAVs constantly fly in the skies, our air defence units need additional protection.
