Born with a chisel in his hand and given a vision of client's needs and natural surrounding, Bernard Maybeck (1862-1957) quietly created a fine palette of architectural wonders in California. He was an instructor at the University of California Berkely. He had definite architectural skills and a personality that fit San Francisco Bay Area. Maybeck was equallly comfortable producing works in many architectural styles from Arts and Craft to Beaux- Art. The video is one of the tributes to my woodworking heroes by Hoosierwoodcraft.
