Even the smallest attack by Israel will bring a ‘massive and harsh’ response, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has warned. Speaking at an army parade at a barracks near Tehran on Wednesday, Raisi said that if any move was made against Iran by the ‘Zionist regime’ they would retaliate. The country continues to brace for a potential backlash from Israel. In response to a strike on Iran’s embassy compound in Syria which killed 12 people, Iran launched hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel last weekend, in an operation dubbed ‘True Promise.’ Most of them were intercepted by Israeli air defense with help from the US and other allies, and it is not yet known what Israel’s ultimate response might be.
