Josh Giegel, vice president of design and analysis for Hyperloop Technologies Inc. lectured on December 10 at Purdue University about the status of the Hyperloop transportation system his company is creating. This system involves transporting passengers and cargo at nearly the speed of sound through a vacuum tube. The lecture was primarily for the benefit of students participating in a SpaceX Hyperloop pod competition to help design test vehicles for this vacuum-tube transit system.
