Reconstruction of the US broadcast version of this quasi-sequel to JESUS OF NAZARATH, the 1985 mini-series A.D. Anno Domini. I believe this is the highest quality, most complete version of A.D. episode 3 available at this time. I used a YouTube rip of the German DVD for the vast majority. And I used a low-quality VHS rip for the scenes missing from the German DVD. Let me know if you believe there are still scenes missing from the original US broadcast. If there is enough interest, I could attempt to recreate this using my own rips of the DVDs and the VHS release (if I can find them). In the USA, this mini-series aired over five nights, during Holy Week 1985, totaling 12 hours (including commercial breaks). Without commercial interruptions, it probably ran somewhere between 9 and 10 hours. There is a 6-hour DVD version available in America that apparently has bad picture quality and cuts many hours and whole plots from the runtime. This German DVD rip I have runs 8 hours and 37 minutes. It has the best picture quality currently available. The VHS rip I have runs 9 hours and 10 minutes, and contains many missing scenes, though not all of them. German DVD source: VHS rip: Set just after the death of Jesus Christ, this mini-series chronicles the life & adventures of Jesus's disciples, and events in Rome during the reigns of the Emperors Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and Nero.
