Between all the baroque pieces I often record and upload on my small channel, hereby something completely different. 'After a long day' is a piece from Dutch organist and composer @RienSchalkwijk. For me it has the same melodic feel as a soundtrack after a long (and probably dramatic) movie. Think of soundtracks from movies like Pearl Harbor, Band of Brothers etc. Played and recorded 'after a long day', when I actually met Rien behind the organ console of the Van Vulpen organ in Schoonhoven. I know one of Rien's favourite stops is the Nasard, so the beautiful Nasard ( tremulant) of the Borstwerk of the big Marcussen of the Laurenskerk Rotterdam, was the logical choice.
