This video highlights some of the fishes found in Inland Valley Swamps (IVS) in Sierra Leone. The open canopy IVS habitats have crystal clear waters and dense stands of diverse aquatic flora. The closed canopy IVS habitats typically have sandy substrates with isolated stands of submerged Nymphaea. This habitat type is home to a highly diverse fish fauna with only a small percentage of the species depicted in the video.
