A fine quality full orchestral antique music box made by Mermod Freres of St Croix, Switzerland in c. 1880. The movement features a snare drum, 6 engraved bells struck by bird, butterfly and bee strikers, a woodblock castanet, a 21-note reed organ, and two zither bars. The music box plays a selection of 10 airs, including ‘Boccaccio’, ‘Silver Thread Among the Gold’, ‘The Bohemian Girl’, and ‘HMS Pinafore’.... More details:
