Mammatus clouds were spotted above northern China's Datong on July 2. The rare scene shows the pouch-like clouds hanging in the sky. Mammatus clouds are also known as breast clouds. They are a cellular pattern of pouches hanging underneath the base of a cloud and are associated with hail and thunderstorms.
