On Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at 19:00 Moscow Time, please join us for a screening of a short documentary “FORT ROSS: Fascinating Footnote“, which explores the creation of Fort Ross (in what is now California) and the settlement’s enduring legacy as a National Park and symbol of the influence of Russian culture on American history. The documentary will be followed by a pre-recorded Q&A with Igor Polishchuk, Director of External Relations at Fort Ross Conservancy. About the speaker: Igor Polishchuk serves as Fort Ross Conservancy’s Director of External Relations. Part of his responsibilities includes organizing and coordinating historical research pertaining to Metini — Fort Ross. Igor holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, and a Master of Science degree in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Oxford, UK.
