MALIGNANT were a Dutch Death metal band that released 3 demos in the early 1990s. This is their first one called “Day of the Lord“ from 1990. A real scuzzy affair with a nice layer of filth on the guitars. The singer reminds me a bit of Jeff Beccera (Possessed), but the band sound dirtier & meaner than Possessed. They occasionally veer into Blastbeat territory, but not often & not for long. A nice obscure DM demo this. 3 tracks in 16 minutes. Restored & Mastered by Mahler Haze, June 2020
