Welcome to Century Strings 2.0, which contains a variety of workflow enhancements, including two all-new mixes, world-first true polyphonic legato, polyphonic arc legato and many other general improvements. In this video, we demonstrate how to use 8Dio Century Strings 2.0 and Century Brass 2.0 for advanced orchestral composition by producer- and composer extraordinaire, Colin O'Malley. This is the product of years of efforts and we truly hope you guys feel the countless hours of love and passion that we have put in. – Century Strings 2.0 now includes two tailor-made “in place” mixes, with instruments situated in a traditional orchestral seating position. We expect the majority of our users will gravitate to using these new mixes for most purposes. Mix A is a focused balance, whereas Mix B is broader and more ambient. Using varied mix options on different instruments can help increase the separation in your sound, which is a great way to bring specific instruments into the forefront of your productions. – We have also optimized the entire library, allowing for more advanced features and superior performance on a variety of workstations. The entire Century Strings Collection now features our latest Chaos Effects, allowing you to customize the signal path and post-processing with over 140 impulse responses, stereo delays, EQ and much more. – This latest update also includes individually available articulations as well as several extended options, such as our “Poly-Time” articulations. These allow you to play Arcs at a speed that suits your composition, as well as fluently, play these articulations in a legato style. We have also included our popular “Chordal” legato instrument variant, which features a true polyphonic legato with accurately sampled intervals, enabling you to play multiple harmonies within a single track.
