Testing homemade 4x4 timber trailer with Forstman hydraulic crane by hauling huge dried up spruce and branches out of the forest. This is a real back saver. It is not as efficient as proper forwarders but is perfect for private use. Things I want to change or add: 1) replace the separate hydraulic power pack with on-board hydraulics on the UTV; 2) add a telescopic section to the boom to make the work radius bigger 3) find a solution to the trailer vs UTV different turning circles and thus binding of the PTO shaft when sharply cornering 4) add more log dogs to better facilitate branch hauling 5) automatic gearbox on the UTV to make driving easier My other videos: Support me on: Follow me on: 4x4 PTO Driven Timber Trailer BUILD series: Homemade 4x4 UTV build: #donndiy #homemade #timbertrailer Welding equipment borrowed from Spetselektroodi AS, Estonia: Fronius TransSteel 2700 welder Optrel Crystal 2.0 Welding Helmet Hypertherm Powermax 45 XP plasma cutter
