Roberta Kelly's 1976 debut album Trouble-Maker yielded a #1 Billboard Disco Charts hit and a Top 10-single in France and Italy with the title track. Her second album Zodiac Lady, an astrologically themed album, was once again written and produced by Giorgio Moroder & Pete Bellotte with the Munich Machine backing her as well as the Midnite Ladies, Madeline Bell with the sisters Sue Glover and Sunny Leslie. Recorded in March 1977, it received a European release the following month, but Casablanca Records in the US were not keen on it and refused to release it. However, over the summer imported LP's from Europe started to cause a stir among DJ's, and finally by October Casablanca gave in and belatedly released it. By then the moment had gone, but the non-stop medley of side 1 still hit #24 in the disco charts. In the UK, the album was also belatedly released towards the end of the year.
