Exploring Suvorovsky Prospekt (Suvorov Avenue) in St Petersburg, Russia. One of the largest prospekts in the city. It goes from Nevsky Prospekt to the Proletarian Dictatorship Square. Named after Alexander Suvorov, the General Field Marshall of Russian Empire. In the period from 1923 to 1944 was named as Sovetsky Prospekt (Soviet Avenue). The territory along Suvorovsky Prospekt was mostly developed in the end of 19th — beginning of 20th century. The majority of residential buildings are the former revenue houses.
