Arthas is the most tragic hero in the series of Warcraft. He was the prince of the kingdom of Lordaeron and the brave and selfless paladin of the order of silver hand. He was bewitched by the Lich King in order to protect the people of his homeland. He was hostile to his tutor and lover because of disagreement. Under the impact of strong revenge, he took up the cursed weapon frost grief, an ancient magic sword that could devour other people's souls. Arthas gained strength from it, but became a knight of death who believed in darkness. Later, he killed his father and took the throne, turning the whole kingdom of Lordaeron into a hell on earth. Finally, he stepped on the frozen throne and combined with the Lich King to form a new Lich King.
