The large macrophage cell rapidly recognises and engulfs three lymphoma cells (the small, circular cells), working to protect healthy cells from cancer cells. Nanoliveโs refractive index imaging shows the macrophage cell membrane reaching out and contacting the lymphoma cells before beginning phagocytosis.
