NOIVAS, the Texas dad who rocked the stage with his rendition of The Beatles’ “Come Together” in the playoffs, has made it to the semi-finals of The Voice Season 23. He is one of the two contestants chosen by his Coach Blake Shelton, who is leaving the show after this season. NOIVAS impressed all four Coaches with his blind audition, where he sang Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come” and showed off his powerful vocals and soulful style. He chose to join Team Chance the Rapper, who praised him for his “incredible tone” and “amazing control”. In the battles, he faced off against fellow Team Chance member Jazmine Jones, singing “I’m a Believer” by The Monkees. The Coaches were torn between the two singers, but Chance decided to keep Jazmine and let NOIVAS go. However, Blake Shelton quickly pressed his steal button and welcomed NOIVAS to his team.
