Onlookers in Yellowstone National Park in the US were gripped by the spectacle as mother bear sent her two cubs to safety high into the canopy of a tree. In fear of the invading male killing her cubs in order to mate with her, she stalks the area until she’s satisfied that the coast is clear. She is so protective that she actually casts her cubs off after about a year-and-a-half and chases them if they try to return - so this sort of debacle isn’t repeated. Original Article:
