The Knut Hamsun Center is located north of the arctic circle and dedicated to the famous Norwegian author Knut Hamsun. It is a wonderful and “playful“ building - especially the interior makes it shine. There are so many angles and openings inside which create so many different views which makes you want to go further and explore the building, what you can joyfully do - walking along a nicely done promenade of stairs and open floors. From the outside it has an almost body like appearance with its slightly twisted and cut back torso, the arm like escape stair and its hair like roof top garden - also its three balconies augments this appearance. But due to its materiality and painting but also the absence of excessive glazing makes it almost hold back a little bit. If you happen to be in this very fascinating nature of north Norway I would recommend to visit the Hamsun Center and have a bit fun exploring it for yourselfs. Otherwise have a little bit fun with the video and hopefully you enjoy it
