Hello everyone and welcome to a Star Profiles episode, this time we're taking a look at Alpha Pavonis, which is the brightest star of the constellation of Pavo, which is latin for Peacock. In fact, Alpha Pavonis is also called Peacock because of the constellation. This is a binary star system so the main focus is going to be on the primary component, Alpha Pavonis A. Also I'd like to thank you all for getting this channel to 200 subscribers, that actually gave me the idea to make this video about Alpha Pavonis, as the star system is almost 200 light-years away at 179 light-years from the Sun. Universe Sandbox 2 was used in this episode, get the game here: Space Engine was used in this episode, get the game here: Check out Stellarium too, it's the software I use to visualize the night sky: Feel free to like, comm
