Join me for a walk through the delightful town centre of Yarm, located on a major bend in the River Tees right on the border between North Yorkshire and County Durham! Once a leading port town on the river, this historic market town has evolved into one of the most affluent places on Teesside, and certainly isn't short of riveting history! On our walk around Yarm, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including Yarm Bridge, Yarm Viaduct, the River Tees, Yarm High Street, Tom Brown's House, The Ketton Ox Pub, The George and Dragon Pub, The Union Arms Pub, Yarm Town Hall, Yarm War Memorial, High Church Wynd, Hope House, St. Mary Magdalene Church, Yarm Fellowship Hall, Hauxwell's Foundry, Snaith's Field and the old Police Station. Thank you so much to the following sites for their help in my research of Yarm:
