Frog Baseball (MTVs Liquid Television, 1992)

Before Beavis and Butt-head had a series on MTV, the characters appeared in two independent animated shorts by Mike Judge. Frog Baseball was the first of these shorts and Mike Judge’s fourth cartoon overall. It premiered in early 1992 at Spike and Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation and later that year was picked up by MTV. The first excerpts were shown on the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards. That Fall, it aired in full on the as part of the second season of Liquid Television. The first season of Beavis and Butt-head premiered the following March, but initially, very few episodes were completed and ready for air. As filler, the original shorts aired as full episodes with music video breaks between scenes.
