This video is a complete game broadcast of the Dec. 5, 1970 National Hockey League contest between the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens, won by the Bruins, 4-2, at the Forum. It originally aired on the CBC on Hockey Night In Canada. Like most video from this era it's B W and a little washed out, but overall getting to see this game is a treat; the greatness of Bobby Orr and the Big, Bad Bruins shines through. It's long, as I left in the commercials and between-periods stuff because there was a lot going on in the NHL right at that time. First of all, the Stanley Cup had just been stolen from the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto! The Canadiens had just fired Claude Ruel and hired Al MacNeil. The Alouettes had just won the Grey Cup. Orr was a between-periods guest and talked about having just released “Orr On Ice“. And Harry Sinden, who'd coached the Bruins in 1969-70 but left to go into private business, was doing some analysis. Whew! The game was just as action-pac
