Colbert’s own audience explodes in laughter when he says that CNN is “objective“ COLBERT: “I know you guys are objective over there [CNN]. That you just report the news as it is.” COLLINS: “Is that supposed to be a laugh line?“ COLBERT: “It wasn’t supposed to be, but I guess it is.” Stephen Colbert, in all seriousness, praised Collins and CNN for being “objective“ and “just reporting the news“.
