CELEBRATING 20 YEARS of PHASICS PHASE Control. June 2023

I’ve known about this innovative French company for years, so it was natural to drop by for an update Booth on the third day of LASER World of PHOTONICS in Messe Muenchen. PHASICS, founded in 2003, are well-known for their state-of-the-art optics metrology and imaging solutions, from standalone SID4 wavefront sensors to fully automated test benches, like Kaleo MTF and MultiWAVE. But I was curious to see a demo of their new fully modular metrology solution, Kaleo Kit. And Nolan Chan was happy to oblige. PHASICS' unique, patented wavefront sensing technology is called QuadriWave Lateral Shearing Interferometry (QWLSI). It was developed to overcome the Shack-Hartmann limitations: it offers ultra-high resolution, high sensitivity (sub-nanometric), and a wide dynamic range (hundreds of microns). With more than 90% of its revenue made abroad, PHASICS' worldwide presence is supported by its US branch, PHASICS CORP and a strong network of distributors.
