Amiens is the city of the current French President and his wife, Emanuel Macron. The city is located in Picardie a region in northern France. The region is known for the world war 2 battles and Amiens was bombarded heavily during the second world war. This is visible until today in the cathedral. The colorful windows are still from the medical ages, the transparent ones had to be changed due to the bombardments of the war. The cathedral was built 1000 years and it's an architectural wonder! The cathedral of Amiens is the largest cathedral in the world in breadth. We walked the city on a rainy June Tuesday late morning, after the latest curfew lockdown measures of the country. You can see some army men patrolling the city at the beginning of the clip. This is to promote a peaceful environment, so as to avoid resurgence by the population.
