This right-hand drive Phantom V is a 1963 model with coachwork by James Young to design PV15. It was supplied new to an address in London's Park Lane, was exported to the USA during the early 1970s, and where it remained in the care of the same keeper since 1979. Following a long period of storage, the Phantom has been recommissioned & is now presented in superb driving order throughout and is U.K registered wearing its original registration number “729FXO“. Indicated mileage which whilst unverified stands at 24,772 which is believed to be genuine due to the total lack of wear to the throttle & accelerator pedals in addition to the play free absolutely sharp steering & utterly smooth automatic gear box. Interior leather appears original & shows very very minimal use being in superb order. The headlining is also original with roof vents for the installed air conditioning. Woodwork is all present & correct in burr walmut in its original & somewhat faded condition. It would benefit from being refinished at some stage in the future. A cocktail cabinet is fitted to the centres. The exterior is Claret over Masons black with the older paintwork being very presentable & polishing up nicely. The brightwork is also in very good order. The car has recently been recommissioned with over £30,000 being spent on it to put it in tip top order as it had covered less then a scant 1,000 miles in the past decade & was stored before that. The car is fitted with electric windows to the front & rear along with an electric division. The James Young Phantom V is widely regarded as the most elegant post war Rolls Royce produced.
