Mahaon is Alexey Baranov from Izhevsk, Russia. He started his professional career in 2004 as psytrance guitarist, musician and DJ. In 2007 after meeting a strange butterfly in holy places of Udmurtia he and Albert Sultanov (project Alba) founded project Mahaon. A lot of spiritual practices and experiences transformed his music to mystical chillout. The first album “The Awakening“ released on Ajnavision Records in 2012, and label was closed. The second album “Magic Garden“ released September 20 in 2015 ,this latest work is a new journey surrounded with peace, love, courage, strength, and healing for the body, mind and soul. Beyond the album's conceptual dimension lie the compositions themselves, multi-layered spectra of warm bass and kicks, micro-melodies and tonal motifs enveloped by organic rhythms and textures.
