Chicken jerky is a great snack that you can make at home with a dehydrator. It is healthy, tasty, and easy to make with just a few ingredients. In this video, I will show you how to make chicken jerky in a dehydrator with the following ingredients: 1 kg chicken breast 100 ml soy sauce 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 tbsp. paprika 1 tsp (10 g) nitrite salt 0.5 tbsp. sugar 2 garlic cloves 20 ml of lemon juice The steps are: Wash and dry the chicken breast and cut it into thin slices. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, vegetable oil, paprika, nitrite salt, sugar, garlic, and lemon juice to make the marinade. I have already bought a ready-made mixture of nitrite salt and on the package it is indicated how many grams of this mixture is needed for one kilogram of meat. Therefore, look at the ratio of nitrite salt to meat on your package. If dried at low temperatures, then nitrite salt must be added to neutralize the salmonella bacterium. Add the chicken slices to the marinade and toss well to coat them evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 5 hours or overnight. Arrange the chicken slices on the dehydrator trays in a single layer and discard the excess marinade. Set the dehydrator to 60°C (140°F) and dry the chicken jerky for 10 to 13 hours or until it is dry. Store the chicken jerky in an airtight container or a ziplock bag in the refrigerator or freezer. Enjoy your chicken jerky as a snack anytime you want. It is high in protein, low in fat, and full of flavor. You can also customize the marinade with your favorite spices and herbs.
